My Monthly Favorites – March 2023

March, as usual, couldn’t make its mind up weather-wise in the Midwest. One day it would be 65 and sunny, the next it would be a chilly, gloomy, rainy day. But I honestly kind of loved it. It was a good mix of cozy, relaxing weather and days that give me hope that spring is right around the corner. Here are a few of my monthly favorites from March.

My Favorite Things This Month

Microplush Blanket from Threshhold

This blanket is a cozy staple for me. It is plush and extremely soft, and I love the color I have it in (Rust). It’s technically a bed blanket, so it’s really large, and I love to completely wrap myself in it on the couch, cuddle with our pets, and read a book or watch my favorite show obsession.

Native Deodorant – Eucalyptus & Mint

I’ve been a huge fan of this deodorant for a while, but I ran out recently and found myself on a Target trip in serious need of new deodorant. They don’t carry my usual brand, so I ended up buying the Eucalyptus & Mint scent from Native, and I love it! It’s free of aluminum and parabens, and it smells amazing – so if you catch me sniffing my armpits, you know why ?

KitchenAid Pasta Attachments

I’ve been on a sourdough pasta-making kick (this is the recipe I’ve been using), and I’ve gotten very familiar with the KitchenAid pasta attachments in the process. I’ve used a hand-cranked pasta roller before, and the KitchenAid attachments just make the process so much easier because you have both hands free to feed the dough through. So far, I’ve made ravioli and two batches of wide noodles, and they’ve turned out so well!

Woodland Wardens Oracle Deck

I’ve had my eye on this oracle deck for a while, and it did not disappoint! I’m very into all things woodland right now (it’s our nursery theme), and this deck fits right in. The deck art is absolutely beautiful, and I have found the card descriptions to be compelling. I also love that after each card description, there are a few questions to consider. I use tarot and oracle decks for intuitive practices, so I find these questions to be a useful tool.

Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar

You know how the dad from My Big Fat Greek Wedding thinks that Windex can fix any ailment? Well, I’m pretty much the same way with apple cider vinegar! This month, I used ACV to get rid of a rash in my armpit (yay, pregnancy!) and to ease my terrible acid reflux (again – yay, pregnancy!).

For the rash, I dipped a cotton round in an ACV-water mixture and placed it on the rash before washing it off. And for my acid reflux, I drink a tablespoon of ACV in a few ounces of water after dinner, and it really keeps my nighttime reflux at bay. Is ACV a remedy for anything and everything? It might just be!

Minnetonka Chrissy Booties

I have loved these comfy Minnetonka booties for so long, but they’re coming in especially clutch during pregnancy. My feet have finally spread out, and only a few pairs of shoes are comfortable to wear, including these. They’re getting me through the end of the cold weather and the soft lining is providing a lot of relief for my feet, which are definitely starting to feel sore.

Comforting Chamomile Yogi Tea

My husband and I have become “tea people” over the past few months, and we usually each have a cup when we’re getting ready for bed. I wanted to move away from my usual peppermint tea because I’ve read that it can decrease milk supply. I’m a big fan of Yogi Tea in general (love the affirmations on the tag), so my husband picked up some of their chamomile tea for me, and it has been the perfect bedtime beverage.

Let me know what you’re enjoying lately in the comments!
