May has flown by! This is always a really busy month for us, but with this May being the last full calendar month before our baby arrives, I feel like it has passed even faster than usual!
Here are some of the things I’ve been enjoying this month as spring slips into summer and I get ready for the birth of our first child!

My Favorite Things This Month
Sun Hat
The sun is out now that it’s late spring! I have been really cautious about protecting my skin from sun exposure and melasma since I’m pregnant, so I’ve been wearing this sun hat everywhere I go.
I personally think I look really cute in it, and everyone else who has tried it on has looked cute, too! It’s sturdy but a really reasonable price for a wide-brimmed hat. And I love that there’s a drawstring inside the band that I can tighten when it gets windy.
I actually think I’m going to purchase another one of these hats to keep in my car, just to make sure it’s available to me all the time!
Embroidered Floral Dress
I got this dress for one of my baby showers and go so many compliments on it! It honestly was my dream baby shower dress, and I loved the embroidery.
It’s not a maternity dress because I wanted to be able to wear it after pregnancy, too. The skirt left plenty of room for my belly, and I wore a pair of shorts underneath since it was a little short. I can’t wait to wear it again!
Onyx Ring
I don’t know why, but I’ve wanted an onyx ring for such a long time. This one is perfect – a statement piece without being flashy.
Witch Hazel
This children’s book by Molly Idle beautifully illustrates grief. We lost my dad to cancer last month, and the way Witch Hazel depicts the way we can carry our loved ones with us was comforting to me. This book would be helpful in explaining loss to children, or – like it was for me – be a balm for an adult with a grieving heart.
Collagen Eye Masks
I have hit the point of pregnancy where I just feel ***tired*** all the time. These gold collagen eye masks from Grace & Stella have been a favorite of mine for a while, and they’re really coming in clutch now so that I don’t look as tired as I feel.
